Holocaust In Corfu

Living History

A Fallen Community

Corfu lost most of its Jewish population throughout World War 2, mainly in Auschwitz. Most people deported from Corfu walked straight into gas chambers, standing no chance in front of the Nazi brutality. Some of them were kept for forced labour. After liberation, only a few returned to Corfu.
